Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Receivable and general accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with ERP systems (AS400 or similar systems preferred).
• Associate degree in Accounting or related experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate and distribute customer invoices and apply incoming payments.
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collection.
• Coordinate with internal departments to prepare domestic & international shipping documentation, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of parts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to prepare & maintain projected billing reports.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports to support operational and business reporting needs.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities by preparing reports, reconciling data, and assisting with accounting processes as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
• Support the Controller and Treasurer with projects and reporting.
• Assist with process improvements and maintaining accounting procedures and documentation.

Position Overview

Metalex is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. The Bookkeeper plays an important role in maintaining accurate and timely customer billing, collections, financial reporting, and month-end accounting activities. This position works closely with customers as well as our operations, shipping, and management teams to ensure accurate and efficient financial processes.
