Job summary

Metalex Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking experienced CNC machinists for 5-axis turning and milling operations. You will set up and run complex parts on state-of-the-art equipment, performing in-process inspections and working closely with the Quality Team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

We offer day and night shifts with a 10% differential on night shift, a safety‑conscious, clean environment, and a strong Lean culture. Requires US citizenship or permanent residency and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and part specifications.
• Ability to comprehend and follow router detailing required work on each part.
• Capable of performing machine set ups.
• Proficient in using measuring instruments and test equipment.
• Understand quality requirements and perform in-process inspections with QA.
• Understanding of basic shop floor mathematics.
• Understanding of CNC programming.
• Basic computer skills relevant to shop operations.
• Must meet ITAR and citizenship requirements (US citizen or permanent resident).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work 48 hour weeks with every other Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision parts.
• Perform in-process inspections and coordinate with Quality Team to ensure part quality.
• Adhere to 6S, safety rules, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support cross training and assist teammates to meet production goals.

Role Description – CNC Machinist - Precision, High Tech 5-Axis (DAY and NIGHT Shifts available)

Night shift includes a 10% Pay Differential!

• Night Shift - 3:30 pm - 1:30 am

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to read and Interpret Drawings and Part Specifications
• Ability to Comprehend and Follow Router that details what needs to be completed on each part
• Capable of Performing Machine Set Ups
• Proficient in handling Measuring Instruments and Test Equipment
• Understand Quality Requirements and be able to perform “in-process” inspections of your own work in addition to working with the Quality Team to ensure delivery of high quality parts
• Understanding of Basic Shop Floor Mathematics
• Understanding of CNC Programming
• Basic Computer Skills
• Agree to follow Metalex Operator’s Acceptance Program
• Maintain 6S Standard Shop Checklist
• Observe all Safety Requirements and be responsible for reporting any unsafe conditions
• Strong Work Ethic/Willingness to work overtimeWillingness to assist in Cross Training of other Teammates by Teaching Skills they can learn from you
• Willingness to be Cross Trained on complementary machines as needed to support production requirements and increase your marketability
• Commitment to Continuous Improvement and taking initiative to lead in making enhancements

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements
• Drug Test Required
• 48 Hour workweeks with every other Saturday as Mandatory (Saturdays included in 48 hour workweek)
