Job summary

Metalex Manufacturing is seeking an experienced CNC machinist for the night shift to work on precision, high-tech turning and milling. You will read drawings, set up machines, measure parts, and perform in-process inspections while contributing to continuous improvement.

Precision, High-Tech CNC Machinist

We work in a driven, high-paced environment where teamwork and communication are key components of our company’s culture. We have availability for Night shift which includes a 10% Pay Differential!

• Night Shift - 3:30 pm - 1:30 am Monday - Friday

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read and Interpret Drawings and Part Specifications
• Ability to Comprehend and Follow Router that details what needs to be completed on each part
• Capable of Performing Machine Set Ups
• Proficient in handling Measuring Instruments and Test Equipment
• Understand Quality Requirements and be able to perform “in-process” inspections of your own work in addition to working with the Quality Team to ensure delivery of high quality parts
• Understanding of Basic Shop Floor Mathematics
• Understanding of CNC Programming
• Basic Computer Skills
• Agree to follow Metalex Operator’s Acceptance Program
• Maintain 6S Standard Shop Checklist
• Observe all Safety Requirements and be responsible for reporting any unsafe conditions
• Strong Work Ethic/Willingness to work overtime
• Willingness to assist in Cross Training of other Teammates by Teaching Skills they can learn from you
• Willingness to be Cross Trained on complementary machines as needed to support production requirements and increase your marketability
• Commitment to Continuous Improvement and taking initiative to lead in making enhancements

REQUIRMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements
• Drug Test Required
• 48 Hour work weeks
