Client Advisory & Accounting Services (CAAS) Supervisor

Location: Multiple offices across the Southwest and Pacific regions

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year

Position Overview

The CAAS Supervisor will oversee Accounting Specialists and manage the delivery of core accounting services within the Client Advisory & Accounting Services department. This role ensures accurate and timely financial statements while maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures. The Supervisor will manage multiple staff members and support a wide range of accounting activities, including:

  • Year‑end audit and tax support
  • Budgeting and forecasting

Regular interaction with clients and their tax advisors or other professional service providers is a key component of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning meetings with the CAAS Accounting Manager to explain audit preparation and accounting processes.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day financial reporting accuracy and timely processing of client information.
  • Delegate responsibilities to ensure client accounting personnel contribute effectively to audit preparation and engagement workflow.
  • Supervise and collaborate with team members to ensure proper export of documents and reports (trial balances, chart of accounts, general ledger details, subsidiary ledgers, etc.).
  • Oversee import of electronically received reports into accounting and analytical software systems.
  • Provide training, development, and guidance to Accounting Specialists.
  • Ensure preparation of accurate general ledger account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Assist clients in preparing additional reports or schedules as needed.
  • Manage workload prioritization, quality review, and training of new and existing staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior experience in audit preparation and/or bookkeeping/accounting services.
  • Experience supervising staff and managing accounting service projects.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Professional experience in a client service environment (preferred).
