Job summary

Scholastic in Illinois is seeking a part-time Warehouse Picker/Packer to support book fairs by packing cases, boxes and displays with book and non-book product, ensuring safety and quality. The role includes learning basic scanner use and assisting with inventory tasks.

You will help pick and pack customer reorders, maintain an organized workspace, and participate in seasonal inventory resets. Shift is 7am–11am with a pay rate of $16.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency with minimal errors.
• Strong team player and ability to work well with co-workers.
• Good verbal/written communication, basic math, and reading English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in production of book fairs by packing cases, boxes and displays with product.
• Demonstrate proficiency in packing all components for cases, boxes, and displays.
• Meet minimum production, accuracy, and quality standards.
• Ensure outbound items are clean, safe and in good condition.
• Assist in processing returns and inventory replenishment.
• Learn and use scanner for inquiries and replenishment of pick locations.
• Assist in picking and packing customer reorders.
• Maintain neat, clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Conduct seasonal inventory production-line resets and assist in inventory counts.
