Job summary

Scholastic Inc. in Odenton, MD is seeking a part-time seasonal Warehouse Order Picker to help build book fairs for schools. You will pack and prepare book and non-book products, operate basic scanners, and support inventory tasks during peak school periods.

Pay is $17.00 per hour plus a $1.50 shift premium, with shifts from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Scholastic offers major holidays, a 50% merchandise discount, and a 401k plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Demonstrate basic scanner proficiency with minimal errors.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Pack book and non-book product for book fairs following processes.
• Proficiently pack components for cases, boxes and displays.
• Meet production, accuracy and quality standards.
• Assist in processing returned book fairs.
• Monitor inventory levels for packing readiness.
• Learn basic scanner proficiency for replenishment requests.
• Help in picking and packing customer reorders.
• Maintain a neat, safe work area at all times.
• Participate in seasonal inventory resets.
• Support Fair Finishing, Assembly, QA scanning functions.
