Job summary

Amgen is seeking a District Sales Manager to lead and develop district sales teams across Marietta, Columbus, Athens, Decatur, and Lawrenceville. You will provide clinical knowledge to medical professionals and drive growth through a robust pipeline and cross-functional collaboration.

You will collaborate with District Sales Managers, Regional Sales Directors, and Corporate Account Managers to execute strategies, coach teams, and ensure compliant operations while delivering on sales targets.

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications require advanced degrees with sales/marketing experience.
• Qualifications emphasize leadership and experience managing people and teams.
• Preferred qualifications highlight specialty sales, biologics, and coaching ability.

Responsibilities

• Track progress of marketing messages and programs.
• Provide feedback to district teams on marketing, allocations, and resources.
• Manage district teams to maximize performance and meet targets.
• Screen, interview, and hire candidates.
• Ensure compliance with training.
• Coach and develop staff for future roles.
• Conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews.
• Coordinate with district and cross-functional teams.
• Share best practices with reports and peers.
• Coordinate cluster teams and district sales meetings.
• Develop local Opinion Leader relationships to achieve goals.

Education

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience

Master's degree and 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience

Bachelor's degree and 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience

Associate's degree and 10 years of Sales/Marketing experience

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Sales/Marketing experience AND 2 years of managerial experience
