Job summary

Materion is seeking a Bonding Mill Helper in Lincoln, RI to support the Bonding Mill Operator by performing machine set-up, maintaining quality, meeting daily production targets, and assisting with equipment troubleshooting.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, at least 1 year in manufacturing, and may prefer experience in a metals environment. You will read process sheets, monitor gauges, and ensure conformance to specifications.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Bonding Mill Helper assists a Bonding Mill Operator in meeting the department’s goals by performing machine set‑up, maintaining quality standards, meeting daily production targets, and troubleshooting equipment when required.

Responsibilities

• Handle coils: remove coils from skids, load them to the payoff, and measure gauge and width of the material.
• Set up the designated Bonding Mill: follow process sheets, set machine parameters, and use lubrication.
• Adjust machine settings to reduce thicknesses, reshape products, and eliminate product defects.
• Inspect raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Monitor and adjust machine speeds using dial indicators.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of previous manufacturing experience.
• Experience in a metals industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports, manuals, and technical procedures.

Pay range: $22.10 - $31.75 USD per hour. The hourly pay range listed is a guide for this position and may vary depending on experience, education, geographic location, and other qualifications. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate’s individual merits and the company’s compensation policies.
