Job summary

State of Colorado, at the Limon Correctional Facility, is seeking a Boiler Operator to maintain the central plant and utility systems, ensuring safe and compliant operations for staff and inmates.

Responsibilities include monitoring boilers, chillers, and water treatment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and coordinating with maintenance teams to uphold facility reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of employment experience in utility plant operations performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Experience in modification, maintenance, and repair of the physical plant including electrical and water distribution systems, water treatment, and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, healthy, comfortable, and secure environment for staff, visitors, and inmates through proper operation and maintenance of plant systems.
• Monitor and maintain boiler plant, chillers, generators, water treatment, and electrical switching devices; document maintenance and report issues.
• Coordinate with trades and document work orders and incidents; ensure compliance with standards and policies.
