Qualifications

• Three years of experience operating, maintaining, and repairing steam or hot water generating plants.
• Completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• CJIS background check and suitability for assignment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain three boilers (gas and oil) under normal and emergency conditions.
• Maintain pumps, fans, chemical feed systems, and other plant equipment.
• Test boiler water chemistry and keep logs of chemicals and supplies.
• Oversee inmate workers, monitor movement, and ensure safety and security.
• Complete paperwork and communicate plant needs with the supervisor.
