Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a Utility Operator to assist in operating and inspecting boiler systems and related equipment under supervision. You will read gauges, monitor controls, and report abnormal conditions while keeping the plant safe and efficient.

The role includes sampling, ash treatment, and monitoring air pollution control equipment, with opportunities to operate mobile equipment and work overtime during planned or unplanned maintenance. We value safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Three or more months related experience and/or training.
• Mechanical skills to replace shear pins, repack valves and inspect equipment.
• Knowledge to operate power plant auxiliary equipment such as air compressors and dryers, FD fans and pumps.
• Ability to work overtime and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operations of assigned equipment per procedures.
• Monitor and inspect boiler plant auxiliary equipment and report malfunctions.
• Read meters/gauges and identify abnormal conditions or emergencies.
• Perform sampling and ash sampling, water treatment as assigned.
• Monitor air pollution control equipment and maintain clean work areas.
• Operate mobile equipment as needed (Bobcat, loader, forklift).
• Handle refuse intake duties and fire watch as required.
• Communicate effectively to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
