Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations seeks a Plant Operator to maintain safe, compliant boiler operations, optimize steam flow and manage emissions. You will monitor data, respond to changing conditions, and coordinate with the team to ensure efficiency and environmental compliance.

The role involves supervising 2–5 staff, performing hands-on boiler maintenance, and upholding a constructive, safe work environment across the plant.

Qualifications

• Two years working in a power plant environment as an APO or comparable position; or 5 years related experience or training in power plant environment.
• Mechanical skills for replacing shear pins, valve repacking, and equipment inspections.
• Knowledge to acquire ASME QRO Provisional license.
• Math skills to complete required functions.
• Knowledge of operation and control of a steam generating power plant.
• Massachusetts facilities require a 2nd Class Engineers license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant operational and emissions data.
• Detect and respond to conditions to maximize safety, compliance and efficiency.
• Coordinate, direct, and train other plant operators and staff.
• Perform physical duties related to maintaining boilers and equipment.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and management.
