Job summary

Amentum seeks a Boiler Plant Mechanic to support a government contract based at Kings Bay, GA. You will tend boilers, chillers, and auxiliaries, operate control systems, and maintain detailed operation logs to meet strict specifications.

Responsibilities include complex repairs, chemical analysis of boiler water, preventive maintenance, and assisting during annual inspections. Requires 4 years of boiler experience, safety training, and security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Four years of repair, operation and overhaul experience on boiler plant equipment.
• Knowledge of boiler chemical treatment.
• Ability to troubleshoot systems and components.
• Must possess standard tools and a valid state driver’s license.
• Must wear ASTM F2413-05 safety shoes.
• Must obtain/maintain facility credentials; US citizenship required for Kings Bay access.

Responsibilities

• Tend boilers to produce steam and operate chillers and air compressors.
• Use computer systems to meet specifications and maintain operation logs.
• Perform complex repairs and overhauls on central heating plants and components.
• Conduct chemical analysis of boiler water and cooling towers.
• Inspect and run preventive maintenance and safety checks.
• Assist government personnel during annual inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
