Job summary

Government Contracting Resources, Inc. is seeking a Boiler Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspection preparation, and operational testing of boilers, UPVs, and related equipment in a NAVFAC environment.

You will document asset data in MAXIMO and ensure compliance with OEM instructions and applicable codes. The role requires journeyman-level expertise, Florida licensing, and EPA Method 9 qualification.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level boiler, HVAC/mechanical, or stationary-equipment maintenance capability.
• Certification by OEM or recognized training organization; Florida licensing where applicable.
• EPA Method 9 qualification for boiler inspection/testing and related duties.
• Florida licensing for boiler operation as required by contract; combustion-optimization operator training every few years.
• Ability to obtain installation access credentials and satisfy CAC/training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance program for boilers, UPVs, burners, heat exchangers, tanks, pumps, and controls.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and operate equipment per OEM specs and industry practices.
• Prepare boilers and UPVs for NAVFAC inspection and certification; assist Government inspector.
• Immediately stop unsafe equipment and report safety deficiencies; ensure valid NAVFAC certificates.
• Provide five-day advance notice for testing/certification readiness and restore equipment to service after tests.
• Perform boiler-water sampling, testing, and chemical treatment as required.
