Job summary

3M is seeking a Boiler Operator to operate high pressure boilers and related equipment in a production setting. The role includes switching fuel sources during curtailments, operating chillers, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on utility plant equipment.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate logs and comply with safety and state licensing requirements. Weekend, rotating shifts, and overtime may be required in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old to be considered for this Production role.
• High School Diploma/GED or higher required.
• State of Minnesota 1st Class A Engineer license or higher required.
• 3+ years’ experience operating high pressure boilers.

Responsibilities

• Operate high pressure boilers and related equipment including fuel-source switching.
• Operate electric and steam turbine chillers and related equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment (boilers, condensers, heat exchangers, cooling towers, pumps, fans).
• Maintain logbooks and records.
