Wilsonart International is seeking a Boiler Operator to oversee the boiler room operations, maintain equipment, read gauges, and respond to alarms at our Texas plant. The role requires 2+ years of boiler operation experience, strict adherence to safety rules, and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of boiler operation experience.
• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area.
• Ability to read instruments and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the boiler room for plant operations and shut downs.
• Monitor boiler pressure, water levels and temperatures for all equipment in the boiler area.
• Respond to system alarms and maintain logs of gauge readings.
• Shut the system down for maintenance and bring it back online.
• Monitor and control boiler house functions: boilers, air compressors, chillers and dust collectors.
• Monitor hydrothermal water storage and cooling towers.
• Handle power outage shutdowns and start-up procedures.
