Job summary

Wilsonart in Texas is seeking a Boiler Operator to oversee proper and efficient operations of the boiler, air compressors, chillers, and related equipment under the direction of the Mechanical Supervisor. You will monitor gauges, respond to alarms, and maintain logs.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
2+ years of power plant/boiler operation experience.
Ability to read instruments and gauges; basic boiler maintenance knowledge.

Responsibilities

Prepare the boiler room for plant operations and shutdowns.
Monitor boiler pressure, water levels and temperatures of equipment in the boiler area.
Respond to all system alarms promptly.
Maintain logs and gauge readings.
Shut down and restart systems for maintenance as required.
Monitor and control boiler house functions: boilers, air compressors, chillers, dust collectors.
Oversee hydrothermal water storage and cooling towers operations.
Execute power outage shutdown and startup procedures.
