Job summary

Wilsonart is seeking a Boiler Operator to oversee the boiler room and related systems at our facility. You will monitor pressure, temperatures, alarms, and efficiency of boilers, compressors, chillers, and water systems, ensuring safe, reliable plant operation.

This role requires hands-on maintenance, quick decision making, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Wilsonart offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth and advancement.

Qualifications

High School/GED required.
2+ years of boiler/power plant operation experience.
Ability to work independently and follow directions.

Responsibilities

Prepare boiler room for plant operations and shutdowns.
Monitor boiler pressure, water levels and temperatures of all machinery.
Respond to system alarms.
Maintain logs of gauge readings.
Shut the system down for maintenance and restart.
Shut boiler down and restart for maintenance.
Monitor and control boiler house functions (boilers, air compressors, chillers, dust collectors).
Monitor hydrotherm water storage and cooling towers.
Power outage shutdown and startup procedures.
