Perdue AgriBusiness, part of Perdue Farms, a family-owned food and agricultural business, is seeking a Boiler Operator at our Salisbury, MD facility.

This position involves performing boiler-related duties such as equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and responding to emergency breakdowns. Working hours are from 6pm to 6am, with a target wage of $29.20 - $43.80 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus potential bonuses and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on boiler equipment
• Diagnose and repair boiler failures
• Rebuild boiler components
• Maintain records and logs
• Complete work orders, timecards, and job documentation
• Follow safety guidelines per regulations and company policies
• Perform assigned tasks as directed

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Advanced technical training (preferred)

Experience and Licensing

• At least 5 years of professional boiler operation experience
• Maryland State Stationary Engineer Level 1 License
• Valid driver's license

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to move throughout the facility, including climbing heights up to 180'
• Ability to lift tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Work in extreme temperatures, humidity, and noise conditions
• Wear protective gear, including self-contained breathing apparatus
• Travel to remote facilities may be required
