Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Boiler Operator to safely and efficiently operate boilers and related equipment across MaineHealth facilities. You will ensure reliable steam, hot water, and climate control while performing routine maintenance as needed.

The role requires a state Boiler Operator license (3rd or 4th class) or Stationary Steam Engineer certification, plus at least one year of relevant experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • State license as Boiler Operator 3rd or 4th Class and/or Stationary Steam Engineer required.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • One year of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate boilers and related equipment to provide steam, hot water, air conditioning, and heat for the building.
  • Perform general maintenance as needed to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $25.24to $34.16 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
