Job summary

The Simplot Company in Grand Forks, ND, is seeking a Boiler/Refrigeration Maintenance Mechanic to join our maintenance team. You will perform mechanical repairs, operate boiler equipment, and support safe, efficient plant operations.

You will work with a shift team, report to the Boiler/Refrigeration maintenance supervisor, and must meet safety standards, possess a valid steam engineer license, and complete structured training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years related experience and/or training.
• Must have a valid steam engineer’s license: MN Special Engineer's License to MN 1st Class B License.
• Ability to read manuals, SDS, and engineering drawings.
• Must pass structured job training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure there is no injury to self or others by following safe work practices (SOPs) and policies.
• Attend and participate in all training activities for the position; apply newly acquired skills.
• Ensure sanitation of equipment and housekeeping of the entire facility.
• Ensure self-compliance with Company policies, SOPs, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Must be a team player and help to meet operational goals.
• Conduct oneself professionally and maintain appearance to perform job functions.
