Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking a Boiler Mechanic for GF Plant in Grand Forks. You will join the maintenance team, handling boiler operation, repairs and preventive maintenance. You will report to the Boiler/Refrigeration maintenance supervisor and work with team leaders to meet production goals.

Responsibilities include safe operation, data logging, and cooperation with the maintenance and process teams. Weekend/overtime work and physical requirements apply, with training provided for

Qualifications

• Must obtain CIRO certification within 1 year, and 2 years’ experience OR recognized boiler safety training.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (steam traps, heavy valves, motors, etc.).
• Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in English to successfully complete duties.
• Must be able to work in extreme environments (hot, cold, humid, slippery).
• Must be able to stand on concrete floors for long periods and work in close quarters.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in all training activities for the position.
• Ensure sanitation of equipment and housekeeping of the facility.
• Comply with Company policies and SOPs.
• Be a team player to meet operational goals.
