Job summary

The J.R. Simplot Company in Grand Forks, ND, is seeking a Maintenance Technician focused on plant instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment.

You will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install systems, following directions from Team Leader and Supervisors to keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities include calibrations, documentation, program changes, and ensuring optimal performance in extreme environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of instrumentation/electronic/electrical relevant experience.
• Graduation from a technical trade and/or completion of an apprenticeship, certificate or associate degree program in a related field.
• Experience programming and/or PLC operations preferred.
• Must be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ranges, averages, fractions, measurements and calculate percentages to make proper adjustments and calibrations.

Responsibilities

• The individual in this position must possess a working knowledge of electricity, electronics, instrumentation, and control systems. Includes installations, calibrations, maintenance, documentation, and repairs.
• Work with safe work practices, plant equipment, troubleshooting and repair procedures under supervision of maintenance leadership.
• Weekend and overtime work may be required to meet operational goals; work in extreme environments of hot and cold.
