Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking a skilled Boiler mechanic to join our maintenance team. You will operate and repair boiler systems, coordinate with supervisors, and ensure safe, efficient plant operations.

Applicants should have 5+ years of experience, a High school diploma or GED, and must obtain CIRO certification within 1 year. The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds and working in extreme environments, indoors and outdoors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years related experience and/or training.
• Must obtain CIRO certification within 1 year or have boiler safety training.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensures there is no injury to self or others by following safe work practices and SOPs.
• Operate boiler equipment safely and coordinate with maintenance team leaders.
• Maintain sanitation and housekeeping of the facility and equipment.
• Keep accurate boiler logs and reporting such as water and fuel records.
• Unload cooking oil and fuel and support plant processing lines as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on boiler systems and related equipment.
