King's Fish House in Long Beach is hiring for a Back of House Supervisor to support the kitchen team and uphold our high standards of quality and service.

You will assist with guest interactions, expediting orders, and hands-on cooking, training, and learning the culinary business to grow with the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• High school graduate, some college.
• Any previous supervisor experience.
• 2 years’ experience in a kitchen/cook role.
• Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of menu and item ingredients, prices and quality standards.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily receiving, storage, and preparation of all food products.
• Records all waste on tracking sheet.
• Nightly protein count.
• Assists KM/EKM in counting weekly inventory.
• Ensures that all food products meet recipe specifications for preparation and quality.
• Ensures that timing standards are met during production.
• Inspects and approves dishes before they go to guest tables.
• Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations (temperature, sanitation, storage).
• Cooking when needed to support the flow of the business.
• Adheres to manager on duty for decisions affecting financials.
• Completes opening and/or closing duties as assigned.
• Follows maintenance program and cleaning schedule.
• Notifies management of pertinent shift information.
