Job summary

Chick-fil-A Paradise Valley is seeking a Back of House Shift Leader to oversee the kitchen, guide the BOH team, and ensure food safety, quality and speed of service in a community-leading restaurant.

The role emphasizes coaching, development of kitchen staff, and maintaining compliance with safety practices and recipes, with shifts five days a week, Monday through Saturday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18+ years or older.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Detail-oriented and observant.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available to work Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Instilling a sense of urgency that creates surprisingly fast speed of service.
• Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portion requirements, and serving standards.
• Coaching, evaluating and providing accountability for all Kitchen Team Members.
• Communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and FOH personnel, and guests.
• Forecast daily prep production and follow-up on prep waste.
• Maintain organization and appearance of the kitchen.
• Order efficiently and accurately.
• End-of-Month counts and input.
• Maintain a positive working relationship and treat all employees with respect while providing direction and feedback.
• Shifts are 5 days a week from Monday to Saturday.

The BOH Shift Leader position has the responsibility of overseeing the operations of the entire kitchen and guiding the Back of House Team to work towards the Chick-Fil-A vision which accounts for food safety, speed, and quality. The role is a major component in making Chick-Fil-A Paradise Valley a leading restaurant in our community, by ensuring quality of all products, compliance to food safety practices and regulations, coaching, and developing the kitchen team.

In our kitchens, we focus on fresh and simple ingredients. And we always have. Since the beginning, we've served chicken that is whole breast meat, with no added fillers or hormones, and we bread it by hand in our restaurants.
