Job summary

The Fattened Caf, LLC is hiring a dependable Back of House Team Member for our WashU location. You will work in a high-paced café, plating and preparing food to our standards, keeping the line staffed, and communicating with Front of House for smooth service.

We value a strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in presentation, with the ability to multitask and stay organized during busy service periods.

Qualifications

Experience in back-of-house (BOH) operations.
Experience in a fast-paced kitchen or cafe.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Prepare and plate menu items according to The Fattened Caf's recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain speed and accuracy during busy service.
Ensure every order is complete, accurate, and visually appealing before it leaves the kitchen.
Restock the line and prep ingredients throughout the shift.
Follow portion control and recipe standards to maintain consistency.
Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked at all times.
Communicate with Front of House staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cross-contamination procedures.
Assist with opening, closing, and daily kitchen cleaning duties.
Support the team wherever needed to keep service running efficiently.
