Job summary

Inchcape is seeking a Bodyshop Admin Clerk to provide essential administrative, cashiering, and customer service support within our Bodyshop operations. You will interact with customers, estimators, technicians, insurers, and management to ensure a smooth repair experience and accurate record-keeping.

You will welcome customers, handle payments, organize documentation, and assist with scheduling and reporting.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of administrative support, cashiering, or customer service experience.
  • Experience in automotive dealership, collision center, or insurance environment is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and answer inquiries in person or by phone.
  • Process payments, prepare deposits, issue receipts, and maintain records.
  • Organize repair orders, vendor invoices, and insurance paperwork.
  • Coordinate with customers and insurers on vehicle status and payments.
  • Support service advisors with data entry and reporting.

In this role, you will provide administrative, cashiering, and customer service support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the Bodyshop. You will work closely with customers, estimators, technicians, insurance companies, and management to deliver an efficient repair experience while maintaining accurate records and timely documentation.## What you'll do* Welcome customers, answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone.* Process payments, prepare daily deposits, issue receipts, and maintain accurate repair order and financial records.* Prepare, organize, and maintain repair order documentation, vendor invoices, purchase orders, and insurance paperwork.* Coordinate with customers and insurance companies regarding vehicle status, documentation, and outstanding payments.* Monitor repair order files, customer follow-ups, work-in-progress reports, and support quality control inspections.* Assist Service Advisors and Estimators with customer and vehicle information, administrative tasks, and departmental reporting.* Support daily Bodyshop operations by maintaining organized records, attending meetings and training, and performing additional administrative duties as assigned.## About you* High School Diploma or equivalent required.* 2–3 years of experience in administrative support, cashiering, or customer service.* Experience in an automotive dealership, collision center, or insurance-related environment is an advantage.* Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.* Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.* Comfortable handling cash transactions, preparing deposits, and maintaining confidential records.* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to learn dealership management systems.## Start your journeyIf you're excited about this role but don't meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
