Job summary

Tony Hawaii Automotive Group in Waipahu, HI is seeking an Automotive Body Technician to repair damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles per factory and dealership specifications and time standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical school certification with a minimum of 6 months related experience.
• ASE certifications are preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Able to work in a high-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Body repair work per estimate and dealership standards; verify parts against the estimate and advise on deviations.
• Maintain tools and equipment; report any needed repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE; operate tools safely.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations impacting body shop operations.

Salary Range: $20.00 Hourly

Job Summary

Repair damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards. Responsible for supporting the company’s Vision: “Best place to work & Best place for our guests to do business” and Mission: “Build long term relationships with our associates & guests & make a positive difference in our community”.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Body repair work -Prepares and repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturers and dealership standards. Check body parts against the estimate and ensure proper parts are ordered and received. Must advise management of any deviations from the estimate.


• Tools and Equipment – Must maintain in proper state of repair and advise management of any needed repairs.


• Safety – Must wear all safety and health personal protective equipment as mandated and operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.


• Compliance – Must company with all federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal. OSHA Right-to-know, etc.

Education and Experience

Associate’s degree or technical school certification or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months of related experience.

Physical Requirements

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
