Covenant Logistics is seeking a Body Shop Technician I to service class 8 equipment at our Chattanooga facility. You will perform repairs within your current skill level and inspect during the process to identify any additional work required.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, English proficiency, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 95 lbs frequently, with work involving climbing and standing for long periods. Tools are expected from the candidate.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs consistently and 95 lbs frequently.
• Ability to climb, bend and stoop; stand for long periods.
• Must have own tools to perform skills at this level.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ to apply.

Job description

Body Shop Technician I performs repairs on class 8 equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on class 8 equipment within employee current skill level.
• Inspect equipment during the repair process to determine if additional repairs are necessary.
• Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of Covenant Transport Services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to understand, communicate, read, and write the English language.
• Must have the physical ability to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis and
• 95 lbs. on a frequent basis to mount tires.
• Must have physical ability to climb, bend and stoop.
• Must have physical ability to work while on feet at all times, ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have tools to perform skills for this level.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
