Job summary

Covenant Transport, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs on class 8 equipment at our Mount Olive, NC location. Shifts include Monday–Friday 8:00–17:00 and Sunday–Thursday 16:00–01:00.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered and compensation reflects market rates for skilled technicians. Responsibilities include performing repairs within skill level, inspecting for further work, and handling related duties to support Covenant Transport Services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently and 95 lbs. frequently.

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus

The Technician performs maintenance and repairs on class 8 equipment. Shift times: Monday - Friday 0800-1700; Sunday - Thursday 1600-0100

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on class 8 equipment within employee current skill level.
• Inspect equipment during the repair process to determine if additional repairs are necessary.
• Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of Covenant Transport Services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Own the tools required to perform the position responsibilities of this level excluding those provided by the company
• Understand, communicate, read, and write the English language
• Ability to Lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis and 95 lbs. on a frequent basis to mount tires

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license required
