Job summary

GTG Peterbilt - Cedar Rapids is seeking an experienced Body Shop Service Writer/Advisor to greet customers, consult on service issues, and coordinate communications in the service department. You will assist with time reporting, warranty paperwork, and parts coordination while ensuring top-level service.

Responsibilities

• Open and close work orders with as much information as possible.
• Record, adjust and report technicians time for work orders and payroll.
• Greet customers in a professional and courteous manner in person or over the phone.
• Help cover phone calls for the Body Shop
• Try to resolve customer complaints
• Schedule appointments
• Supervise and assist technicians with the diagnosis and repairs of their jobs
• Assist with warranty repair paper flow
• Consult with the parts department on special order parts and sublet repairs
• Instruct the following shift’s service writer on any special instructions and appointments
• Keep Body Shop Manager informed of all customer complaints and technician problems
• Perform other duties as assigned

We are looking for an experienced Body Shop Service Writer/Advisor to join our dynamic team. The potential candidate will greet and consult service customers about their problems. This person will assist in the coordination and communications of the service department as well as perform a variety of other service-related tasks
