Qualifications

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Body Shop Service Technician to join our growing team with Kelly Volkswagen Inc! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and ASE certification. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing necessary repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and according to dealership standards
  • Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional services needed and provide estimates for repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty according to manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Service Technician experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required
  • B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
  • Dexterity and steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills with ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
  • Positive, friendly attitude with eagerness to improve
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively with teammates
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
