Slate Auto is seeking an Operations Group Lead for the Body Shop to direct daily production, supervise associates, and uphold safety, quality, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced, highly automated environment. The role collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to maintain stable, repeatable production and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate brings 5–8 years in automotive manufacturing, a bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing, and

Qualifications

5–8 years in automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
2+ years direct supervisory experience on the production floor.
Strong knowledge of BIW processes, equipment, and inspection methods.
Understanding of Lean manufacturing and structured problem‑solving techniques.

Responsabilités

Directly supervise Body Shop production associates and team leads to meet daily targets.
Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and standardized work instructions.
Execute daily production plans, manage staffing, and balance labor for takt time and throughput.
Monitor and drive performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People metrics.
Lead daily tier meetings, shift handovers, and production floor communication.
Identify production issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
