Job summary

Swift Transportation is hiring a Body Shop Mechanic in Columbus, OH. The position offers hourly pay between $22 and $32 with a Monday–Friday shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and is focused on inspecting, repairing, and maintaining tractors and body components to DOT and OEM standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections and related tractor and body repairs while ensuring safety compliance with DOT requirements.
• Repair or replace minor to standard internal/external body components including cab to maximize safety of equipment.
• Recognize and identify non-body related repair or maintenance items (trailer, tires, etc).
• Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Job Responsibilities: What you will do

• Perform inspections to identify damaged or faulty Internal/external components to meet company, OEM and DOT specifications.
• Repair or replace minor to standard Internal/external body components including cab to maximize safety of equipment while in use on public roads.
• Recognize and identify, non-body related repair or maintenance items (trailer, tires, etc).
• Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.
