Central Auto & Transport, an established and expanding company, is hiring an experienced Body Shop Manager for a full-time position in Hartford, CT. Lead the collision repair operation, support a team of technicians, painters, and detailers, and keep repairs moving efficiently from estimate to completion. This role combines hands-on operational leadership, quality control, and customer service, with a focus on safe repairs, production goals, and shop profitability.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily body shop operations, including repair workflow, scheduling, and cycle time.
• Lead, coach, and schedule technicians, painters, and detailers to meet production goals.
• Prepare and review repair estimates and supplements, and coordinate with insurance adjusters.
• Ensure repairs meet quality, safety, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) repair standards.
• Keep customers informed about repair progress and resolve concerns professionally.
• Oversee parts ordering, vendor relationships, and shop inventory.
• Monitor sales, gross profit, and customer satisfaction index (CSI) results, and control operating costs.
• Maintain a clean, safe shop and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of collision repair experience, including at least 2 years in a management or lead role.
• Strong knowledge of collision estimating software such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex.
• Working knowledge of collision repair processes, paint, and structural repair.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and a track record of meeting production goals.
• Clear communication and strong customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred, not required: I-CAR or ASE certifications.
