Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be willing to travel up to 50%.
• Engineering degree or equivalent relevant education & training.
• Five or more years of relevant experience with similar equipment & tools.
• Experience with automotive assembly processes and related tools & equipment.
• Strong communication skills with ability to clearly communicate complex subject matters.
• High level of interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently with a minimum of direction.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement, creativity, and initiative.
• Ability to handle simultaneous assignments and competing priorities in complex work environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct the design and improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Analyze and implement machine designs for manufacturing methods.
• Evaluate processes and equipment for efficiency.
• Lead a small team of technical staff.
• Monitor expenditures for processes and equipment.
• Interpret specs to develop tooling for manufacturing.
• Review tool designs and oversee tooling builds.
• Develop shop-floor build process documentation.
