Concord Group Insurance in Maine seeks a Branch Claims Representative to handle bodily injury and general liability claims through their life cycle, including investigation, evaluation, and claim resolution.

You will work to provide service to agents, insureds and others, maintaining professional image and compliance. Base pay ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 with strong benefits and opportunities for licensing and advancement.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience adjusting third-party liability claims; more experience preferred.
• Experience handling litigated and/or multi-party claims that may involve risk transfer preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and react to documents such as insurance policies, procedure manuals, and legal documents.
• Ability to assemble information, develop opinions, and clearly express decisions using sound reasoning and judgment.
• Ability to write reports and compose correspondence.
• Ability to communicate, in both oral and written formats, clearly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assemble facts, determine coverage, evaluate loss amount, and analyze legal liability.
• Make payments in accordance with coverage and liability determinations; adjust the loss.
• Study policies and endorsements and apply coverage analysis.
• Maintain high level of customer service to agents and insureds.
• Meet with people involved with claims, sometimes off-site.
• Obtain and maintain adjuster’s licenses as required.
• Complete continuing education programs as required.
• Handle claims activities and investigations by phone, mail, and on-site as needed.
