This job also provides service to agents, insureds, and others in the course of handling those claims to their conclusion. Work is performed under general supervision.**Responsibilities*** Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level insurance claims* Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to develop foundational knowledge of Company insurance products.* Learn and comply with claim handling procedures.* Develop skills in claim negotiations and settlements.* Effectively service needs of agents, insureds, and others.* Meet with people involved with claims, sometimes outside of our office environment.* Use technology-based information for reference, enter information into computer systems and develop specialized skills, including but not limited to property estimating, auto estimating, and use of computer-based programs as tools.* Obtain and maintain appropriate adjuster’s license(s) as required.**Requirements*** Bachelor’s degree or direct equivalent experience with property/casualty claims handling* A minimum of one year of insurance claims experience is required.
