Job summary

You will work under general supervision, analyze coverage, prepare payments, and communicate with agents and insureds while maintaining required licenses and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read, interpret, and react to insurance documents and legal materials.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with clear, concise judgment.
• Experience handling third-party liability claims; including litigated or multi-party claims is preferred.
• Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations and analysis of finances and costs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble facts, determine coverage, evaluate loss amount, and assess legal liability.
• Authorize payments according to coverage and liability determinations.
• Study policies, endorsements, and forms to apply coverage analysis.
• Demonstrate proficiency in claim handling procedures and negotiations.
• Deliver high levels of service to agents and insureds.
