Job summary

American Modern Insurance Group, a Munich Re company, seeks an experienced Liability Claims Specialist to manage moderate to complex bodily injury and liability claims, evaluate coverage, and negotiate settlements. This role offers exposure to specialty insurance products and collaboration with Munich Re-backed teams.

Based in the United States with a hybrid work model (in-office 40-50%), you will interview insureds, conduct investigations, set reserves, and work with attorneys and carriers to

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience managing Liability Bodily Injury claims with a track record of handling complex and severe cases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven research and investigative skills.
• Experience using claims systems, digital documentation tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Industry training such as AIC, CPCU, or SCLA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret coverage, conduct investigations, and interview insureds, witnesses, and third-party claimants.
• Negotiate settlements with individuals, other carriers, and attorneys; process loss settlements.
• Prepare reports reflecting file activity and maintain reserves on claim files.
• Identify regulatory, contractual, and internal compliance requirements and ensure compliance.
• Obtain and review reports, statements, records, and related materials as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
