Job summary

American Modern Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Liability Claims Specialist to manage moderate to complex bodily injury and liability claims, evaluate coverage, and negotiate settlements. You will work within a Munich Re-backed specialty team to grow expertise and handle unique exposures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing Liability Bodily Injury claims with a track record of handling complex matters.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using claims systems and Microsoft Office.
• Industry training such as AIC, CPCU, or SCLA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret coverage, conduct investigations, and interview insureds, witnesses, and 3rd party claimants.
• Negotiate settlements with individuals, other insurance carriers and/or attorneys, and process loss settlements.
• Complete required reports to reflect all file activity.
• Identify regulatory, contractual, and internal compliance requirements in claims handling.
• Set and maintain reserves on claim files.
• Review reports, statements, and related materials as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
