The City of New York is seeking a Civil Engineer 3 to lead its Bridge Inspections unit. This position involves performing thorough inspections of elevated structures, preparing detailed reports, and identifying safety hazards.
Candidates should possess a valid NYS PE License and have at least four years of relevant civil engineering experience. Salary ranges from $104,720.00 to $141,970.00, with opportunities for federal loan forgiveness.
Civil Service Title- Civil Engineer 3
This position will report to the Bridge Inspections unit and will serve as a team leader and quality control engineer in the Bridge Inspection & Management unit of the Bureau of Maintenance, Inspection, and Operations.
A master’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of the required civil engineering experience.
To be eligible for placement in Assignment Levels II and III, applicants must have at least one year within the last three years of experience as a major contributor or project leader on a complex project requiring additional and specific expertise in the disciplines needed to design or construct the project.
