The New York City Department of Transportation is seeking a Civil Engineer 3 to lead quality control for bridge inspections. This role involves performing inspections of over 800 bridges and managing safety and mobility in New York City.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and be proficient in AutoCAD, with a valid New York State Professional Engineer’s License. The position offers 35 hours per week at a work location in Queens.

The New York City Department of Transportation, Division of Bridges manages the full life cycle of over 800 bridges, tunnels, and 600 retaining walls, ensuring the safety and mobility of the public. This position reports to the Bridge Inspections unit and involves leading quality control for bridge inspection and management.
In addition, for Assignment Levels II and III eligibility, candidates must have at least one year as a major contributor or project leader on a complex project within the last three years.
