Job summary

MarineMax Services Inc in Somers Point, NJ is seeking a Service Advisor to support the Service Manager, team, and customers. You will gather information to perform boat work and ensure it is completed correctly the first time and on time.

You will schedule and dispatch technicians, use service tools, document issues, coordinate with manufacturers and warranty providers, greet customers, take payments, obtain approvals, and finalize work orders while promoting additional services and upholding

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Manager in day-to-day operations including scheduling and distribution of work for technicians and yard team.
• Use manufacturer flat rate guides and Standard Service Operations to determine time allotted for work and ensure timely completion.
• Document Complaint, Cause and Correction on each work order.
• Coordinate with manufacturers/warranty providers to secure approvals and ensure payment including photos and parts tracking.
• Greet customers, determine needs, and provide clear instructions on work orders for technicians.
• Answer incoming calls professionally and return calls before close of business.
• Promote additional labor, parts, and accessories with customers in a professional manner.
• Obtain customer signature on work orders and collect payment before releasing the boat; seek approvals when cost is unknown.
• Schedule and coordinate sublet contractors and follow up on their work.
• Inspect quality of work and ensure proper delivery to customer.
• Communicate with customers during repairs and coordinate pickup.
• Finalize and invoice work orders and ensure timely paperwork flow.
• Promote MarineMax Safety Program and maintain a safe workplace.
