Job summary

CarGuys Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a Full-time Boat Sales Consultant.

You will guide customers through the boat purchasing process from inquiry to final sale, leveraging sales expertise and boating passion to match buyers with their ideal vessels and deliver a seamless buying experience. You will build product knowledge across our inventory, present options, negotiate terms, coordinate with service, and grow sales while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1-10 years of sales experience, preferably in the marine or luxury goods industry.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse clientele.
• Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate various types of boats.
• Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Engage with potential customers, in-person and remotely, to understand boating needs and budget.
• Conduct product presentations and demonstrations, highlighting features and benefits of boat models.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of inventory, including specifications, pricing and options.
• Provide expert advice on boat selection, financing options, insurance, and aftermarket products.
• Negotiate sales terms and close deals while ensuring customer satisfaction and targets are met.
• Coordinate pre-delivery inspections with the service department and customer orientations.
• Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM system.
• Follow up post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
• Attend boat shows, open houses, and promotional events to showcase products and generate leads.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions.
• Contribute to sales strategy development and marketing initiatives.
• Assist in maintaining showroom appearance and organization.
