Job summary

Capital One seeks an Enterprise Risk Organization Governance & Reporting Specialist to lead Board reporting processes and governance activities. The role partners with CFRM, GovSec, and ERO leadership to deliver high-quality, audit-ready materials for senior executives and the Board.

You will own end-to-end processes for IRMR, support SEC attestation, and continuously improve governance systems using data-driven insights and automation. This position is based in McLean, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Project Management, Process Management, or Risk Management.
• At least 2 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with multiple internal business stakeholders.
• At least 2 years of experience working with Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Gemini).
• 4+ years of experience in Project Management, Process Management, or Risk Management.
• 3+ years of experience supporting senior leadership.
• 2+ years of experience creating talking points, executive summaries, and other senior-level communications.
• Risk Management Professional certification (e.g., CRMP, CRM, RMR).
• Project Management Professional certification (e.g., PMP).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end processes for the quarterly Integrated Risk Management Report (IRMR) for the Board, including risk aggregation.
• Deliver governance reports and Board presentations with audit-ready documentation.
• Lead sub-certification and attestation for SEC reporting.
• Partner across the three lines of defense and with GovSec to coordinate updates and deadlines.
• Author, review, and enhance governance systems (tools, templates, job aids, processes).
• Support broader governance and Board initiatives led by the ERO Chief of Staff.
