Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Associate in Enterprise Risk Organization Governance & Reporting to drive governance and Board reporting processes. You will partner with ERO leadership and interact with CFRM, GovSec, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, audit-ready materials for senior leaders and the Board.

You will own end-to-end reporting, strengthen governance systems, and collaborate across defense lines while supporting additional governance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• 3+ years in Project Management, Process Management, or Risk Management.
• 2+ years supporting multiple internal business stakeholders.
• 2+ years using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Gemini).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end processes that enable the development and delivery of the quarterly Integrated Risk Management Report (IRMR) for the Board.
• Enable well-managed delivery of ERO reports and presentations to the Board with audit-ready documentation.
• Lead processes that support second line’s sub-certification and attestation for SEC reporting
• Partner across the three lines of defense and with GovSec to communicate updates and deadlines.
• Author, review, and enhance governance systems (tools, templates, job aids, processes).
• Support broader governance and Board initiatives led by the ERO Chief of Staff.
