Job summary

The Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) seeks a Manager, Board Governance and Operations to provide expert operational, administrative, and policy support to the Board of Directors and its committees. You will manage meetings, prepare agenda materials, minutes, and governance records with precision, and coordinate VIP attendees and events in a hybrid workplace.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of nonprofit or association governance principles and board operations.
• Ability to manage competing high-stakes priorities with accuracy and detail.
• Excellent written communication for minutes, reports, and policy docs.
• Discretion handling ethics-related and confidential matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end operational support for Board of Directors and committees, including meetings, agenda, materials, and follow-up.
• Ensure adherence to parliamentary procedure and governance protocol at meetings.
• Prepare and distribute accurate meeting minutes in a timely, defensible manner.
• Maintain current, audit-ready Board/Committee rosters and eligibility compliance.
• Coordinate meeting logistics and VIP attendee services for board events and chairs.
• Monitor the Board Relations budget and flag variances.
• Identify governance policy gaps and draft language for review by leadership and counsel.
• Oversee ethics-related processes, including conflicts disclosures and code of conduct.
• Support executive leadership with confidential board matters and risk monitoring.
• Build trusted relationships with board, chairs, and executives; ensure professional discretion.
