Job summary

Association-For-Materials-Protection-and-Performance seeks a Senior Director to shape conference, exhibition and sponsorships strategy. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver market-aligned events, and manage budgets and strategic partnerships to maximize ROI.

Candidates should have a strong track record in leadership, volunteer coordination, and content development for professional audiences, with travel as required to grow AMPP’s event portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 15 years of management experience in events or related field.
• Seven years in a leadership role with demonstrated volunteer management.
• Certifications in Conference or Exhibit planning are a plus.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, ethics and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead conference, event, exhibition and sponsorship strategies.
• Create global roadmaps for new markets and content opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional teams to plan, deliver and price programs.
• Benchmark AMPP’s model against industry leaders and implement improvements.
• Evaluate exhibition and sponsorship sales strategies, costs and ROI.
• Manage strategic alliances and volunteer committees in collaboration with staff.
• Forecast and monitor department budgets to meet annual goals.
• Maintain professional communications with staff, members and customers.
